2010 Registration and Reservation Policies

Knubble Bay Camp is rented to one party at a time. Beal Island is rented to no more than two parties at a time. Online reservation forms and information are available at the Appalachian Mountain Club website (www.outdoors.org).

Knubble Bay Camp

2010 Rates:
Capacity: maximum 15 people
The 2010 rent for Knubble Bay Cabin for members is $150 per night for up to 8 people, $200 per night for 9 - 15 people.
Non-members is $160 per night for up to 8 people, $210 per night for 9 - 15 people.
All rates are subject to 7% Maine State Tax

Beal Island

Capacity: maximum 30 people
Adults member: $12/night, non-member: $13/night
Children (under 12): free

Please Keep In Mind:

Visitors of Knubble Bay Camp and Beal Island are asked to abide by the guiding principles of “Leave No Trace.” Please respect these environments by using carry-in, carry-out practices.

A Georgetown fire permit (207-371-2375) is required for a fire at Beal Island. Fires must be located in the stone fire ring located on the beach. Within Knubble Bay Cabin, no propane or kerosene lanterns, and no candles are permitted.

Pets are not allowed at either location.

Because the parking area serves visitors to both Beal Island and Knubble Bay Camp, visitors should be careful not to block access/egress of other vehicles.

Upon registration, renters will receive a user’s guide for both facilities.

Knubble Bay Camp and Beal Island are maintained by a committee of volunteers who do not staff the sites. There will be no one to greet you upon your arrival, so please make sure you have a chart so that you can locate Beal Island.
